Erik Prusch

President and CEO

Erik Prusch

Erik Prusch is president and CEO of Borland where he is responsible for all aspects of Borland’s operations. With more than 20 years of operational, financial and executive experience, Prusch has held executive positions at such leading companies as Intuit, Gateway, PepsiCo and Koch Industries.

Prusch joined Borland from Intuit Inc. where he was vice president of Finance for Intuit’s Consumer Tax Group. In that role, he oversaw the financial operations of one of Intuit’s largest revenue and profit generating business units. Before joining Intuit in January 2004, he was Chief Financial Officer for Identix Incorporated, a biometrics technology company. Prusch has held the positions of vice president and CFO for Finance and Operations at Gateway Business, a $4 billion division of Gateway Computers, and vice president of Mergers and Acquisitions for Koch Industries, the second largest privately held company in the U.S. with sales in excess of $35 billion.

Prusch holds an MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He also holds a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.

Thomas Wilkas

CFO

Thomas Wilkas

As CFO, Thomas Wilkas heads Borland's finance and accounting organizations. Wilkas brings to Borland more than 20 years experience leading financial operations for global companies in the technology, consumer products and manufacturing industries.

Previously, Wilkas served as senior vice president and CFO of PSAV Presentation Services, a global provider of technology to the hospitality and event industries. Prior to PSAV, Wilkas was senior vice president and CFO at Solucient, a privately held healthcare technology solutions provider. Before joining Solucient in 2003, Wilkas was executive vice president and CFO for Huhtamaki Americas, Inc., a subsidiary of a multinational consumer packaging company. Wilkas has also held finance management roles at US West, PepsiCo, and Anheuser-Busch.

Wilkas holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Notre Dame and an MBA from Indiana University.

Rich Novak

Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations

Rich Novak

Rich Novak, senior vice president of worldwide field operations, is responsible for the overall direction and management of Borland’s sales efforts, as well as the company’s consulting services, partner alliances and customer support organizations.

Novak has more than 20 years of sales management experience. Previously, Novak served as vice president of worldwide sales and services at Cape Clear. Novak has also most recently held senior sales leadership positions at BMC and Marimba. Before joining Marimba, Novak served as vice president and general manager of Net Perceptions, an e-commerce marketing software and services company. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales at MicroStrategy, a business intelligence software and services company. Novak has also held sales management positions at Tandem Computers and General Electric.

Novak holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Southern Illinois University.

Gregory Wrenn

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Gregory Wrenn

Gregory J. Wrenn joined Borland in October 2006 as senior vice president and general counsel. In this role, Wrenn is responsible for the direction and management of Borland’s legal department and all legal matters affecting the company. Wrenn brings to Borland more than 15 years of legal and corporate governance experience, having held senior management positions at companies such as Openwave Systems, Inc., Yahoo! Inc. and Adobe Systems.

Most recently, Wrenn served as senior vice president and general counsel at Openwave Systems, where he led a global legal team of more than 30. There, he was responsible for counseling senior management and the board of directors on all legal matters including corporate governance and reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and mergers and acquisitions. Before Openwave, Wrenn was deputy general counsel, international at Yahoo!, responsible for international legal matters such as corporate formation and joint ventures, intellectual property protection and risk management. Prior to Yahoo!, he served as senior corporate counsel at Adobe Systems where he was charged with supporting product development and business teams, as well as managing Adobe’s global trademark portfolio and anti-piracy programs.

Wrenn earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley.

Mike Martin

Vice President, Services

Mike Martin

As vice president of services, Mike Martin leads Borland’s global service and support organizations. Martin brings 20 years of experience in consulting and technology services to Borland, where his charter includes developing service offerings that help Borland customers improve their software delivery processes and maximize the value of their technology investments.

Prior to joining Borland in 2001, Martin was director of business development for SageLogix, a telecom services provider. Martin has also held various management positions in technical sales, consulting and alliances for leading enterprise software companies, including ChannelPoint, Crossworlds and Oracle.

Martin holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Maryland.

Cheri Bergeron

Vice President, Corporate Marketing

Cheri Bergeron

Cheri Bergeron, vice president of corporate marketing, is responsible for Borland’s worldwide marketing activities. With 20 years of marketing, sales and business development experience, Cheri has driven marketing strategy, demand generation, and alliances for industry leaders as well as successful startups.

Prior to joining Borland in 2008, Bergeron spearheaded early sales activities at software startup, BuildForge, Inc, and led marketing throughout the company’s explosive growth. When the company was acquired in 2006, Bergeron stayed with acquirer IBM, heading up go-to-market activities for approximately $350 million of Rational’s product line. Bergeron has also served in sales and marketing management roles at eCustomers, IBM Tivoli, Remedy Corporation, and Hitachi Data Systems. Bergeron holds a B.S. in Marketing and English from San Jose State University.

David Wilby

Vice President, Product Strategy

David Wilby

As vice president of product strategy at Borland, David Wilby brings to Borland 20 years of product design and development experience in advanced technology. As head of Borland’s product management and product marketing organizations, Wilby drives the innovation of new approaches to addressing the challenges of software delivery through Borland’s Open ALM products and solutions.

Prior to joining Borland, Wilby worked at MessageOne, the leading e-mail continuity and recovery company, where he drove the product management and development teams for the AlertFind product group. Wilby has also held executive positions in marketing and products at FiveRuns, a Web based systems management company, and Tonic/Altiris, a provider of Web performance monitoring tools. He was also the director of product management for Tivoli’s Web monitoring and application management suites.

Wilby holds a bachelor’s degree in computer systems engineering from Stafford University in the United Kingdom.

Chuck Maples

Vice President, Product Development

Chuck Maples

As vice president of product development, Chuck Maples leads Borland’s engineering organization in the delivery of Borland’s broad Open ALM product portfolio. Maples is also the executive champion of Borland’s Agile transformation, guiding his team through organizational changes that enable Borland to more rapidly deliver market-leading ALM technologies.

Maples is a 25 year veteran of the software industry and has held a variety of executive positions with several industry leaders, including BMC Software, IBM Tivoli, Dell and Vignette Software. He has extensive experience in enterprise software development and managing internationally distributed teams.

Maples holds a B.S in Business Administration from the University of Lousiana.

Tom Triolo

Vice President, Human Resources

Tom Triolo

With nearly 18 years experience in human resources, staffing, executive coaching, and organizational development, Tom Triolo leads Borland’s worldwide human resources organization.

Prior to joining Borland in 2007, Triolo served on the management teams of several high-growth companies operating in fast-paced industries. Most recently he was vice president of human resources for Goal Financial LLC, one of the top student loan providers in the United States. Before that, Triolo led the development of a global human resources organization and supporting infrastructure for Connors Bros., Ltd, an international consumer foods company. Triolo has also held human resources leadership positions at Northrop Grumman, Cadence Design Systems, and Manpower Temporary Services.

Triolo holds a B.S in Psychology from San Diego State University.
