Customer Choice™ is our way to provide current TestPartner users maximum flexibility. If you are satisfied with what TestPartner delivers today please continue to take advantage of your automation assets now and in the future. And do let us know what you need to keep these assets a valuable part of your strategy. For those of you whose testing requirements are expanding - needing support for 64 bit applications, or wanting to test against Chrome for example, you may want to consider using Silk Test and Silk TestPartner concurrently.
Whatever the scenario, if TestPartner doesn’t offer all functionality anymore you need, we have made using Silk Test the easy choice. And if migrating is right for you, we have the tools to help you move over to Silk Test with a minimum of effort.
Our new capability allows you to take a virtual inventory of all TestPartner assets. With this functionality, you can create a status overview of all test scripts currently being used to ensure you are getting the best value out of those scripts and help to determine possible technical debt. If you start to consider moving to Silk Test™ from TestPartner, it will help to scope the effort involved, providing comfort that moving is feasible and the right thing to do.
The assessment utility connects to your database and goes through all of the scripts, modules and objects to determine how easy it will be to convert. The analysis produces a report that rolls up how many assets and lines of script can be converted automatically, how many need manual workarounds and how many will need reimplementation in Silk Test.

Once you have decided that Silk Test offers value over and above (or of course next to) your current TestPartner implementation, a free migration tool is available to facilitate this move, eliminating risk, effort and uncertainty. As many test scripts as possible are automatically converted into Silk Test ready assets, minimizing the work your team has to do. So you can get back to the real work – ensuring your applications are tested properly and your team delivers the value your business relies on.
